Liability for content

As a service provider we are responsible for our own content on these pages under § 7(1) DDG and general law. Under §§ 8 to 10 DDG we are not obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information, or to investigate circumstances that indicate unlawful activity.

Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general law remain unaffected. Liability in that respect arises only from the point at which we become aware of a specific infringement. On becoming aware of such an infringement we will remove the content promptly.

Liability for links

Our site links to external websites over whose content we have no control, and we accept no liability for that third-party content. The provider or operator of a linked page is always responsible for what is on it. The pages we link to were checked for possible legal infringements at the time of linking, and no unlawful content was apparent.

Monitoring the content of linked pages permanently is not reasonable without specific indications of an infringement. On becoming aware of one we will remove the link promptly.

Copyright

Content and works on these pages created by the operators are subject to German copyright law. Reproduction, adaptation, distribution and any form of exploitation beyond the limits of copyright require the written consent of the respective author or creator. Downloads and copies of this site are permitted for private, non-commercial use only.

Where content on this site was not created by the operators, third-party copyright is respected and such content is identified as third-party content. If you become aware of a copyright infringement nonetheless, please tell us and we will remove the content promptly.

To confirmwhether this is the right answer at all. Our research and our submissions exist to be used, and a Creative Commons licence may serve the organisation better than all rights reserved. The footer currently says "All rights reserved" and would change with it. See Q4.

Dispute resolution

We are not willing and not obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. To confirmwhether this section is wanted at all. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform ceased operation in 2025 and many German sites have dropped the link, keeping only the sentence above.
